One study concluded that in the first 8 months of 2020 there had already been around 445 million cyberattacks globally, twice as much as all of 2019. Cybercrime is skyrocketing because it is easy money with low risk of jail time for the thieves. It is projected that in 2022 there will be nearly a billion attacks globally.
